Joyful Squares

Watch for the Joyful Squares Bundle coming January 6 in the new Mini Catalog. There is a coordinating Square Snippets Designer Paper with squares that work with the stamps and dies. This set is perfect for scrapbooking but also works for cards.

For today’s cards, I’ve teamed the Joyful Square Bundle with the True Blue Florals Designer Paper. This paper is the Product of Month for December. Each month when your order reaches $75 you will be eligible to purchase the Product of the Month for only $5. You can only get one and they are only available while supplies last. Each month will be a different item.

This card was created during a Facebook Live. I think I hadn’t had enough coffee yet, lol. It was a rough one. Watch it and laugh with me while I try to align the diagonal cut pieces to the card front. I did figure it out eventually and created the second card.

This card uses Secret Sea for the base, matte layer and ink. A diagonal cut is made on the card front, from the scored corner down the bottom right corner. This triangle is then rotated and adhered to the back of the remaining card front.

It really looks like the state of Minnesota! I need to do something with that!

The designer paper is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and is cut diagonally. I would suggest choosing a pattern that doesn’t have a direction.

This card uses Night of Navy for the base, matte and ink. The True Blue Florals Designer Paper uses Night of Navy and Balmy Blue. Both the Secret Sea and the Night of Navy work with the True Blue Florals Designer Paper. The Night of Navy might have a slight edge.

I hope that you enjoyed this fun fold design! Remember to check out the Product of the Month each month.

Have a great day! Thanks for visiting the Roost.
