It’s totally chaos around my house today! I’m trying to pack all of my stamping stuff for our move to Florida for the rest of the winter. At the same time I’m cleaning the house and getting ready to host my family for Christmas Day.
I did manage to get a video tutorial done for you. This card design is one that we did at the Creative Cards Class earlier in the month. It’s a really cool fold using designer paper to create an envelope style card.

The designer paper is cut at 10 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and is scored at 4″ & 8″. The the envelope flap is created by marking the center ( 2 5/8″) on the smaller scored section. Cut off the corners, from the mark to the score line.
Adhere to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ panel of cardstock.
Decorate as desired. I’ve used the 12 Days of Crafting stamps and dies.

The inside uses a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White. The little butterfly was done using one of the first stamping techniques that I learned from Dawn Olchefske! It’s called the Rock and Roll Technique.
First, ink the entire stamp in the lighter color. Then rock and roll the edges in the darker ink. If you want a watercolor effect, spritz lightly with water before stamping.

Pop up the greeting so that it acts as a latch to hold the envelope flap closed.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! See you on Friday.
