Equine Themed Cards

As a long time horse lover, I couldn’t pass up the Unbridled Beauty stamp set with its sweet farm/ranch themed images.

This first card maintains a barn theme with the all brown colors. A little masking was done to place the fence behind the horse. To do this, a sticky note was stamped with the horse image, fussy cut and placed over the horse image before stamping the fence.

Another image from the set was stamped at the bottom on the inside.

This fun card making technique involves cutting the card front diagonally and the removed triangle to the inside of the card. Watch my video tutorial of the Angled Cut Card Front Card It was originally done on a Facebook Live and it didn’t download the voice very well so I apologize for the audio quality. The video uses a different stamp set for the focal image.

My final card features some die cuts from the Forever Florals Die set combined with the Unbridled Beauty stamp set. I was inspired by the Virtual Card Making Retreat to try doing some stitching on my card.

I forgot and used a Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker to color the horse’s halter and it bled through the paper so I needed to add a little something to the inside. The circular floral die cut was cut from the left over circle from the front die cut. SAVE those scraps!
