This card has a very masculine feel. I don’t think I was supposed to use Gold Embossing Powder but didn’t realize that until after I’d embossed the pieces. The Crumb Cake layers were strips that were stamped and then glued over the embossed labels. After gluing, the edges were trimmed to match.

The embossed circles were done using a mask. I didn’t have a clean Blending Brush and forgot to bring any sponge daubers so used a Q-Tip to add the VersaMark ink to the holes in the mask, lol. Sometimes we crafters have to use what we have on hand.

Again, I think I chose the wrong color, lol. Crumb Cake would have been a better choice for this stamping on the inside of the card.

This card featured a heat embossed greeting, stamping on designer paper to add more interest to the background and two-step stamping. I think it was a great idea to stamp the leaves in both Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive. The die cut leaves were Darling Duckling. Maybe a bit unique for leaves but they add a softer look to the card than dark green leaves.

Both the inside of the card and the envelope were decorated as well. Each card has something on the inside and on the envelope.

This card features a very unique way to use a large die. Instead of placing the die in the center of the designer paper, it was used to cut both sides, leaving the center solid and uncut. I really liked this technique and will try to keep it in mind to use with other dies.

Two stamps were used to create the greeting and some words were masked off on one to create a new, unique greeting. This technique I use often to create a custom greeting.

I will continue sharing the cards from the 2026 Virtual Card Making Retreat this week until I’ve shared all 15. I do have to finish the last couple yet.
