For today’s card, I decided to play with an old favorite, the Country Woods Designer Series Paper.

I’m not sure why, but when I saw the layout for this month’s Hop, I saw a masculine card and the Country Woods paper seemed a perfect fit.

The card starts with a Misty Moonlight base with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the colored boards pattern of the Country Woods paper. Next, is a 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ wood grained pattern. The greeting is stamped onto a piece of the gray wood grained paper pattern and then cut into strips. The center strip is 3 1/8″ x 3/8″ and is popped up with dimensionals. The strips underneath are slightly shorter a 2 7/8″. It seemed a bit too plain even for a guy card so I added a linen thread bow.

The inside was finished up with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of white paper with a 1/4″ strip of the Country Woods DSP as decoration. The greetings are from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set.
