Today’s card is CASED from a sample that I saw in an email last year. I was going through my old emails and deleting items and I had saved this one to try the card. It uses the Layers of Beauty Bundle which is now on the Last Chance List.

The Sweet Words & Labels Dies ( part of the Silly Old Bear Suite coming out in May!) were used to cut the frame and the opening.

The large floral image was stamped on the inside of the card and also on a separate Basic White layer, which was die cut. The coloring was all done with the masks (part of the bundle) and sponge daubers. The masks have numbers and little arrows to help with alignment. I did add a piece of tape to the paper to keep it in place.

The colored image is cut apart with half going on the card front and half on the inside of the card. To mark the cut lines, the flower die cut was adhered to the front with repositional tape a pencil was used on the backside to mark the cut line.

The original card sample used a simple square die cut, which would have been much easier to align, lol. I sometimes choose the hard path.

Pearl embellishments were added to the small flower centers. A frame of Garden Green was die cut using to nesting dies from the Sweet Words & Labels die set.
