More Stamping on Patterned Paper

I just had to try one more way of stamping on patterned paper! Heat embossing. I’ve been cleaning my craft room, purging, organizing and fighting the dust bunnies!

So I found a whole Paper Pumpkin box full of small pieces of designer paper and die cuts. These two ovals were in the box so I decided to play. (See why I never get my craft room cleaned, lol!) I stamped the Designer Series Paper with the basket weave background stamp from the Sweetest Cherries stamp set with VersaMark ink and used some Early Espresso Embossing powder. I have no idea how long ago this was available, but it still worked fine.

The cherries are stamped on Sweet Sorbet cardstock with Cherry Cobbler ink. I think that the oval may have been Berry Burst but it’s not an exact match to the Berry Burst on my shelf. The designer paper had a floral pattern which gives just a hint of a mauve color showing through the embossing. To tone down the white of the card base, a blending brush was used to add some Sweet Sorbet ink behind the oval. The top cherry is popped up with dimensionals. The inside was left blank.

For my second card, a larger piece of designer paper was used with another floral pattern. Some of the leaves were stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with Old Olive embossing powder (also no longer available, I’ve been digging deep). Other leaves were stamped with Old Olive ink and the veins were stamped with VersaMark and embossed with Early Espresso ink.

The greeting is stamped with Pecan Pie ink and then fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.

The inside of this card has a little sweet cherry added in the corner too.
