Swinging Center Fun Fold

Today’s card is a fun fold using the Coffee with Friends stamp set.

The center image ‘flips’ when the card opens to reveal an inside greeting.

Base Cutting Instructions:

Start with a 6 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Parakeet Party Cardstock
Place the short edge at the top of the trimmer with the edge of the paper at 1 1/4″. You will make 2 separate cuts. One starting at 1 1/4″ cutting to 2 3/4″. Then the second starting at 4″ and cutting to 5 1/2″. Flip the paper over and repeat on the opposite side.
Turn the paper so the long edge is at the top of the trimmer with the edge of the paper at the 1 1/4″ mark. Cut from 1 1/4″ to 4 1/4″. Flip the paper and repeat on the opposite side. This will connect the previous cut lines to make the swinging center.
Finally, score from the top of the card to the cut lines on the top at 2 3/4″ and again at 4″. Flip the card and repeat on the bottom. DO NOT SCORE the swinging center area.

DSP Cutting Instructions:

Start with a piece of DSP that is 5 1/4″ x 6″. Cut at 2 1/2″ and then cut off another 1″ strip. Now you will have three pieces that are all 5 `1/4″ tall. Lay them out in order as they looked before they were cut. Set aside the 1″ strip and place the other two pieces face to face. Keep in mind which edge is the middle that will be removed.
With the two pieced held evenly together, place the long edge against the trimmer with the edge of the paper at the 1″ mark. Cut starting at the 1″ mark all the way to the end of the paper. Flip over and repeat on the other side.
Turn the paper so the short side is on the top of the trimmer. Cut from the 1″ mark to the 4 1/4″ mark to connect the previous cut lines and remove the center rectangle.

Cut 2 Starry Sky matte layers 2 3/4″ x 4″ and cut 2 Basic White layer for stamping at 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ Also cut a 1″ x 1 1/2″ banner for the greeting.
