Fluffiest Friends Christmas

I love animals and making cards featuring fun critters. Today’s card uses an upcoming OnLine Exclusive stamp set called Fluffiest Friends that will be available November 7.

Winnie the Pooh is one of my childhood favorites, so when I saw this guy with his honey pot I just had to make him a golden bear. His body is colored with Wild Wheat and his nose and bottom of his paw with Pecan Pie. The honey pot is done in Poppy Parade and the honey is Lemon Lolly. The bee hive was die cut from Smoky Slate cardstock and then a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend Marker was used to darken the shadows.

To construct this card two bases were created. The first is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. The double tower layer is 4 1/4″ x 9 1/2″ and to create the towers it is scored at 1/2″, 1 1/4″, 2″, 2 3/4″, 6 3/4″, 7 1/2″, 8 1/4″, and 9″. I used liquid glue to adhere the tower pieces.

There aren’t any greetings in the Fluffiest Friends stamp set, so I pulled in a greeting from the Festive & Fun set. Sort of a gathering of critters hehehehe. The patterned paper used on this card is from the awesome Walk in the Forest pack. Not only is it fun to use but for each pack purchased $3 is donated to Toys for Tots, so it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling to use too.

The cave opening is a die cut from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. One thing to note, make sure that you glue the cut out from the DSP onto the back card base before adhering the towers onto the base, lol. It won’t go in easily after.
