Time for some more inspiration from the STARS. For today’s card, I wanted to make a card to send to a stamping friend who can’t make it to my Creative Cards Class next week because of shoulder surgery. She also lost her horse who she had raised as a baby and had for 29 years. It’s been a tough couple of weeks for her. I still need to make a second get well card for another stampin’ friend who broke her ankle and is having surgery next week. It makes me feel like I need to stop whining about having the flu!
This card is very simple and easy to create. The Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper strip is 1 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ matted onto a piece of basic black that is 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. I wasn’t going to add any embellishments to the card but I managed to get a smudge on it, so added 3 of the Designer Elements. One covered the smudge but I thought that the 3 looked more balanced.
