Silhouette Sunset Card

I loved this card when I saw it on another demonstrators Pinterest sight and I just had to give it a try. I was amazed that she fussy cut these little guys until I read her blog post and realized that she colored them in with a black marker, lol, so simple and it didn’t even enter my mind!

To create the sunset, punch a circle (whatever size you want) out of a post it note, making sure to punch some of the sticky edge. Stick that onto your whisper white card layer for a mask. Use a sponge to create the sunset colored background. I started with Daffodil Delight and covered the layer except for the bottom edge. Next, I used Pumpkin Pie and started sponging from the circle outward so that it was darkest around the “sun”.

Remove the mask and stamp the meers with Tuxedo Black so that part of their heads are in the white area of the sun. I used the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to color in all of the meers and then added s swish of black at their feet to ground them.
