For today’s STARS hop, we are featuring some of our favorite items that are on the retiring list. It was hard for me to pick because I like everything! I’m always sad that my favorites are retiring but then I open the new catalog and get so excited about the new stuff that I get over it, lol. Besides, I still have all the great stamp sets, I just have to climb up high to get them, as they get moved to a higher shelf (I’m short).

The Birthday Bonanza Suite just shouts, FUN! The designer series paper is bright and cheerful and I decided to let it be the star of the show for this card. I’ve pulled out Bermuda Bay, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch and Coastal Cabana cardstock to complement the designer series paper colors.

The Pretty Label Punch is also being retired, love that punch! But the Label Me Lovely Punch is carrying over, Yay! The Copper ribbon is my absolute favorite ribbon! I was so happy when it carried over last year, but alas, it isn’t carrying over to the 2020-21 catalog. I love the way that it can be pulled out and it holds its shape.

As I was writing up this blog, I was staring at the card and decided that it needed ‘something’ more. So, I dashed back into my craft room and here is what I came up with…

I added a die cut toucan and some rhinestones. The toucan is done in cajun craze ink with bermuda bay highlights and a pineapple punch bill. I’ve popped him up with dimensionals.
