For the final card in my series of 3, I’ve brought out the gorgeous large butterfly dies from the Butterfly Beauty Dies. There are 2 dies with 5 butterflies on them. Cut them out from 2 different colors, one becomes a background and the other lays on top and creates an outline. For this card the bottom layer of butterflies is done with Cinnamon Cider paper and the top layer is Bumblebee. I did find that to get the dies to cut the entire piece, it worked best to run the dies through the machine twice, then carefully rotate the dies and paper a half turn and run through twice again. The Butterfly Beauty Die set contains a ton of little butterfly dies as well as the large ones. There are a total of 20 dies in the set for only $39.
This card has a top fold card base. The base is 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. There is a Cinnamon Cider layer cut to 4″ x 5 1//4″ and then the Whisper White layer with the stamped bubbles is 3 3/4″ x 5″. For the bubbles, I started stamping with the Cinnamon Cider ink and moved diagonally from the bottom left corner to the top right one. Then I did a line of Bumblebee bubbles on each side of the Cinnamon Cider ones and finally added a line of Calypso Coral bubbles on either side of the Bumblebee ones. There was a little extra room in the corner so I added a partial Calypso Coral bubble.
The Cinnamon Cider Ribbon is really easy to work with, it’s super soft. I’ve tied it around the lower part of the card and then tied it with a knot. I punched out the greeting with a 2″ Circle Punch and layered it onto a 2 1/4″ Circle of Cinnamon Cider. These are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals which also help to hold the ribbon in place.
As a final touch, I’ve added 5 of the little Champagne Rhinestones to the card for some sparkle.
