Time for another bi-monthly STARS Challenge. Today I’ve chosen to do a Christmas card, because I need about 50 more before I can finish up my list. I admit it, I’m starting to feel a little panic.

I decided to use a Stitched Star shape instead of the hexagon on that is on the inspiration layout. It just seemed to fit behind the Dove of Hope. The star is cut from Bumblebee cardstock, which is one of the 2020-2022 In-Colors. It has a nice golden hue, so works great for Christmas cards. The Night of Navy layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and is embossed with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder. The leafy branches are colored with Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and I added a couple of little foil leaf die cuts too. I couldn’t fit the Peace, Joy, Love greeting onto the card so I decided to split it into two parts. I used the Layering Ovals Dies to cut out the greeting. I stamped it twice so that I had room to cut them both. For the Peace greeting, I cut it once and then layered the oval across the end to shorten it, and cut it again. It created a lopsided oval, but I actually liked the look, so I went with it. It made me think of a glass Christmas tree ornament

I love the inside greeting that comes with the Dove of Hope stamp set, it’s perfect! I stamped it with Night of Navy ink and add a few snowflakes around it. It says,
“May your season be filled with all the wonder and blessing of Christmas”
