HEE HAW!! I fell in love with these little Darling Donkeys the minute I saw them in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I just had to get all three of them onto one card, so I cut 3 circles with the Layering Circles Dies and then cut 3 larger scalloped circles of Smoky Slate, Gray Granite and Basic Gray to layer under them. The strip of gray dotted paper is from the new Well Suited Designer Series Paper which is a great set of masculine themed papers.

Each of the donkey’s has it’s own personality so I had to color each one differently with Stampin’ Blends.

The Rose Donkey’s body is outlined with Light Soft Suede and filled in with Light Crumb Cake. His nose is outlined in Dark Soft Suede and filled with Dark Crumb Cake. His hooves are Dark Suede and the rose is Light Real Red.

The Sitting Donkey’s body is outlined with Light Crumb Cake and filled in with Light Gray Granite. There is a touch of Light Petal Pink on the insides of his ears. His nose has a Dark Gray Granite outline and is filled in with Light Crumb Cake. His hooves are colored first with Petal Pink and then colored over that with Light Crumb Cake.

Finally, the kicking donkey’s body is outlined with Dark Smoky Slate and filled in with Light Smoky Slate. His nose is Dark Soft Suede filled in with Dark Crumb Cake. His one ear is filled in with Light Petal Pink and his hooves are done with Light Black.

I added a little Hee Haw greeting with a Linen Thread Bow and sprinkled some rhinestones on the donkey circles.

These little guys can’t be purchased but they can be earned for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration which runs January thru February.
