Stampin’ Up! A Touch of Ink Book Fold Card

I love hummingbirds and butterflies and the A Touch of Ink stamp set has both. The hummingbird is colored with a ‘fill in’ stamp from the set which gives the bird a water colored look. If you want a more exact, less messy looking hummingbird, skip the ‘fill in’ stamp and color the hummingbird with Stampin’ Blends.

I think that the leaves behind the hummingbird were punched from a retired leaf punch but the Fluttering Dies that I used to cut the stamped panel also have a leaf die in it. Or if you want a really detailed leaf the one from the A Touch of Ink stamp set could be stamped and fussy cut, groan…but it would look awesome! The white stamped layer is popped up with dimensionals. I’ve added a scattering of In Color Enamel Dots (another favorite), they are nice and flat for mailing, plus I love the colors.

For dimensions and directions on how to make a Book Fold Technique card, go to my blog post or watch my Book Fold Technique Video Tutorial The Book Fold Technique is one of my current favorites (which changes daily, lol). Once you make one and get it figured out, it’s super simple.

The A Touch of Ink stamp set is in the Sale-a-bration brochure and can be earned with a $100 order. Sale-a-bration ends February 28, so if you want this set be sure to get your order in by then.
