Campology Split Negative Technique

Campology Split Negative

Today I’m playing with a new stamp set and a new technique. I thought that the technique paired nicely with the greeting. I love being out in the woods, although I have to admit that my ‘camping’ involves a 32′ 5th wheel camper instead of a tent. I have spent plenty of nights in a tent too, but plenty of those memories include rainy weekends and soggy sleeping bags, lol. I love hiking all day and crawling into my heated/cooled camper with a nice mattress.

I did the stamping of the trees with my Stamparatus to ensure that the images on both pieces of paper were in the exact same position. The black and white papers are cut to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. On the black paper I’ve used VersaMark ink and white embossing paper. While the white paper is stamped with Tuxedo Black. After stamping both pieces of paper and Heat Embossing on the black one, cut them in half top to bottom. You can get 2 cards from the pieces!

I’ve layered a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Daffodil Delight and behind that is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Early Espresso and then everything is layered onto a Thick Basic White card base.
