Snail Mail

Send a little humor with this fun and easy to make card. The card starts with a Bermuda Bay card base that is the standard 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Next, comes a layer of the fun Snail Mail Designer paper cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″.

The little mini envelopes are cut with a die in the Snail Die set which coordinates with the Snailed It stamp set. The only stamping on this card is the cute little snail done with Tuxedo Black ink. He is placed on another die, cut from the Snail Die set.

The mailbox is created by cutting a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock 3 1/4″ x 4″. Use the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch to take a bite out of the bottom to make the legs. Use your favorite corner rounder to round the top corners. The Stampin’ Up! Trimmer works great to cut a slot in the mailbox for the letters to slide into. My slot cut goes 1″ from the left side of the mailbox to 2 3/8″. With the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer it’s easy to start a cut in the middle of a piece of paper and measure where the cut starts and ends, on the ruler.
