If you are looking for inspiration to create a special card, one of the first places to look is the Stampin’ Up! catalog! There are so many great samples in the catalog. Start on the page with the stamp set that you will be using but don’t stop there. Use the layouts or color themes from other samples to jump start your creation.

This is my version of the sample on page 28 of the annual catalog. Below is the sample from the catalog.

A very light bit of Pale Papaya was added to the Scalloped Contour Die cut with a Blending Brush to create a glow behind the pansies.

Paper Dimensions:
Card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4
Pansy Petals Designer Paper 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
Pansy Petals DSP 3/4″ x 2 1/4″
Pansy Petals DSP 1″ x 5 1/2″ for inside edge
Very Vanilla Scalloped Contours Die cut 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
Soft Sea Foam 1″ x 3/4″
Basic White scraps for pansies and leaves

The card base is Fresh Freesia. The scrap strip of Pansy Petals Designer Paper pulls the theme from the front of the card onto the inside.

The small pansies are stamped using Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink, So Saffron and Cinnamon Cider inks. The large pansy and bud use Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Cinnamon Cider and Merry Merlot. The leaves are all done with Soft Succulent ink.
The little Bumblebee Trinket is the perfect addition to finish off the card.
