It looks like it’s going to be a hot day here in central Minnesota! I scurried around watering gardens and picking flowers and vegetables and now it’s time to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee. I might even lolligag a bit because there are pails of carrots, apples, and potatoes that need processing. I have to admit I like planting, even weeding!, better than I like canning and freezing. Thank goodness our house now has air conditioning!
Now, on to the card for today. I’ve copied a card from page 10 of the Sale-a-bration catalog. I loved the card the first time that I opened the catalog!

The Crumb Cake layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″ and all three of the sheep stamps, from the Counting Sheep stamp set, are used to stamp randomly all over the cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink. Next, the party hat was stamped onto the sheep’s heads and a few extras were stamped to roll around aimlessly. The coloring is done with the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1. The box made a perfect table for coloring in front of the TV.

The catalog sample has ribbon, twine and a vellum circle for under the greeting. The greeting is heat embossed and cut apart into block strips. I went way, way simpler with my card and just stamped the greeting with craft white ink onto a piece of Pacific Point cardstock and cut it out with weird angles. The ribbon under my greeting is the Fine Art Ribbon and is just doubled over and adhered to the card.

To make the card “my own”, I added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Bermuda Bay onto a Daffodil Delight card base.
Hope you have a great day and stay cool! The Counting Sheep stamp set is available free with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration which runs now until September 30. There is a coordinating die set as well, which can be earned separately with another $50 purchase.
