As I’m typing up this blog post, my cat Princess is sitting on me, between me and my laptop. We call it kitty time, lol. Not sure why it always has to be while I’m trying to do something. Just like little kids when the phone rings, right?
Today I’m sharing three Halloween cards made with three different stamp sets. The first is made using the Clever Cats stamp set, which is Princess’s personal favorite.
Jill’s Clever Cat card is stepped up a couple of levels from my card that I shared yesterday! It starts with a Basic Black card base and then has a 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ Pumpkin Pie layer which has been embossed with the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder. Next, is a 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ strip of the Cute Halloween Designer Paper. Finally, popped up with dimensionals is the fun image layer, die cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set. The images are stamped using Tuxedo Black, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie inks. The pumpkin is fussy cut (scissors) and popped up with dimensionals. As a finishing touch some Pearls are added which have been colored with Stampin’ Blends in Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green. Lots of AWESOME details on this card! I think that the bats may have swooped in from the Sparkle of the Season stamp set, but there are also bats in the Clever Cats set as well.
Jolene’s card features the Cutest Halloween stamp set which can be purchased as a bundle with the matching punch. The Halloween Punch cuts out a kitty, ghost and pumpkin and the Cutest Halloween stamp set has outlines and faces for all of them. There is even a little stamp to create the cheeks! This card uses several of the elements from the Cute Halloween Suite. The Black and White Gingham Ribbon, Cute Stars Adhesive Backed Sequins and of course, the Cutest Halloween Designer Paper. It also uses some of the Black Glitter Paper and the Seasonal Labels Dies from the Painted Christmas Suite.
Gorgeous Grape Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″
Basic Black 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
Cutest Halloween DSP 3″ x 3″
Black Glimmer Paper 3″ x 1 1/4″
The final Halloween card for today was created by Karla Larson and features the fun Festive & Bright stamp set and Festive Finishes Dies. I love the way that the dies cut the edge of the stamped image! There is also a matching die for the other edge so that an entire border can be cut out. The little ghost and the label are also cut from the Festive Finishes Die set. I had to search a bit to find which paper Karla used under the greeting. The left side features the sparkly Black Glitter paper and the right side is one of the designs from the Peaceful Place Designer Paper.
