Today my inspiration comes from The Card Concept Challenge #166. When I saw the bold black and white stripes with bright pinks, I just had to try to create a card. For the floral image, I pulled out the beautiful Blessings of Home Bundle. I love that the dies do the cutting, with the matching die set! The greeting die comes from the Potted Succulent Dies. Hmm… that bundle might have been fun to play with too!

It’s always fun trying to decide which elements of the challenge photo to use for inspiration.

Colors, silverware, crystal, flowers, ruffled plate? There are so many options, but for today I stuck with the black and white and the pink flowers. As usual my card is Clean and Layered in design. I don’t deviate too often from my typical style. Note to self, spread your wings and try something new! The card has clean lines with lots of layers. It uses designer paper and colored images.

The flowers are colored with Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Markers in Polished Pink and Petal Pink colors with Cinnamon Cider centers. The leaves are all done with Mint Macaron. A Color Lifter was used to add some highlights and a coat of Clear Wink of Stella was add after the image was dry to add some sparkle. The entire image was outlined with a Light Smoky Slate Blend before die cutting and it was added to the card front with dimensionals.
