Calming Camellia with Watercolor Pencils

Today’s Calming Camellia card is colored with Watercolor Pencils. I’m having a ball testing out different coloring methods on this gorgeous image. So far, I haven’t found one that that I don’t like!

Calming Camellia colored with Watercolor Pencils

The card base is done as a top fold, 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″. Then a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″piece of the Friendly Hello Designer Paper is glued to the front of the Basic White base. The Granny Apple Green matte layer is 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ topped with the 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ flower layer.

Even the background has light color added. I tend to color lightly with colored pencil but if you like a more vivid color, just use more pressure when coloring.

To finish the card, I added a bow of black & white baker’s twine at the top, keeping the bow to the left side. Another thing that I really like about he Calming Camellia stamp set is the font used on the greetings. I like how they have mixed fonts.
