Although I love stamping using dies, punches, special tools, a multitude of papers and inks, sometimes I just want to keep it simple. Today’s card uses two colors of cardstock, one ink color and one stamp set to create a simply beautiful card.
So the two colors used in this card are Just Jade and Basic White. For the background, the small print stamp was inked up and stamped off on grid paper before stamping on the 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White paper. It was stamped mishmash, covering the entire piece with printing. Next, the leaf image was stamped over the print, using full strength ink. I love how stamping off makes it look like an additional ink color on the background.
The greeting is stamped in Just Jade ink onto the scrap from cutting the larger Basic White layer, it is 1″ x 4 1/4″. Now, the card looked great just like this, BUT, if you have some embellishments, especially the Faux Sea Glass, look how it looks with a sprinkling of embellishments.
So either plain and simple, or stepped up with some bling, this is a pretty awesome card and super simple to create. I also want to give a shout out to my trusty Take Your Pick Tool, it works great for picking up the Faux Sea Glass Embellishments as well as many other little tasks.
