Good Morning! I’m so happy to feel like it’s a good morning! Our household has been struggling with Covid for the last week and a half and I actually feel less like a zombie and more like a human today. We all had our shots but the new variant must have snuck through our defenses. All I can say is that if the shots made this less intense, I’m sure grateful. But, enough whining about my health. This blog is supposed to be uplifting, filled with sunshine and inspiration.

This card started with a vision of the Aspen Tree Die done in black for a spooky Halloween card. Start with a piece of Basic Black paper cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and center the large Aspen Tree Die.

The moon is stamped on Vellum with Crushed Curry and then a Blender Pen was used to move the color around. There wasn’t enough on the stamped image to get the depth of color that I wanted so I pick up some ink with the Blender Pen and added it around the edges and then pulled that into the center.

I love making Halloween cards! Fall is my favorite time of the year and Halloween brings back so many awesome childhood memories; playing outside in the dark, Halloween Parties, Trick or Treating, getting to make a costume and dress up. I was a bit surprised as I looked through this years Halloween stamp offering that not a single stamp says Happy Halloween. So…I dug into my stamp library and pulled out the Spooky Fun stamp set and coordinating Halloween Scenes Dies. The greeting and moon are from the Spooky Fun stamp set and the bat and pumpkin label are from the Halloween Scenes Dies. I did have to fussy cut the moon to avoid having white edges around it.
