Love You a Bunch!

Today’s card features the Thanks a Bunch Sale-a-bration stamp set. Even though the name would lead you to believe that this stamp set is all about thank you cards, I have yet to use it to make a thank you card, lol! With 8 different greeting stamps this set is super versatile, and the 11 image stamps can be used in so many ways too!

I’m not sure what technique this design would be called, maybe a collage or a hodgepodge? I had so many little scraps (paper hoarders can’t throw anything away) from the Design a Daydream Hostess paper pack that I thought I would use some of them. The colors on this DSP are very springish. Did you know that when your order reaches $150 you get Stampin’ Rewards? They start at 10% of your order and go as high as 16% depending on your order total. Even better there are special Hostess Items that can only be purchased with Hostess Rewards. These items are priced way below normal selling price. For example the Design a Daydream paper has 48 12″ x 12″ pieces of designer paper valued at $30 but only uses $18 of your Hostess Rewards to purchase.

Here are the paper dimensions but I would encourage you to use up your scraps and adjust the DSP sizes to fit what you have (sort of like doing a puzzle).

  • Daffodil Delight Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White layer 1 base 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White layer 2 base 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
  • Layer 1 DSP 2 pieces 1 1/2″ X 5″, 1 piece 3/4″ x 5″
  • Layer 2 DSP 2″ x 2 1/2″, 1″ x 2 1/4″, 3/4″ x 1″, 1/2″ x 1″, 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″, 1 1/2″ x 1 1/8″
  • Basic White label die cut with the Painted Labels Dies
  • Layering Designs Vellum die cut with 2 5/8″ Layering Circles Die
  • Basic White pieces for carrots and leaves
  • Basic White Labels 1 5/8″ x 1/2″ and 1 3/8″ x 1/2″

The second layer is popped up with dimensionals. To make the greeting labels pop a bit more the edges have been inked with a sponge dauber in Pumpkin Pie ink to match the words and the carrots. The center carrot is also popped up with dimensionals. By the way, there are not dies for the Thanks a Bunch set so the carrots and leaves are fussy cut, but it was pretty easy to cut them out.

Of course, the fun has to continue on the inside of the card!

I’m not sure why but this ‘everything’s coming up carrots’ greeting just tickles my funny bone. Add a Happy Valentine’s Day greeting and this would be a perfect Valentine card.
