This card is for one of those special friends who are rare jewels in your life.
The Apple Harvest stamp set was in the last mini catalog but was so popular it carried over and is still available online. To create the basket weave affect, slits were cut 2″ deep every 1/2″ and then every other strip was removed by cutting between the slits.
Do you recognize the embossing on the dark green layer? Pretty isn’t it? You might not recognize it, because it is a new embossing folder available in March. It comes in a three pack with two other awesome patterns.
Although this stamp set is called Apple Harvest, the artist took some liberties with nature and added blossoms to the tree as well as apples so it’s great for year round stamping. The apples are colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers in Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink, and Old Olive. The little Resin Flowers added a little sparkle. The Gold Shimmer Ribbon under the greeting balanced the card.
The inside of the card has a greeting from the Thanks A Bunch SALE-A-BRATION set. These words are actually on two stamps but fit perfectly on this long greeting die. The flowers are fussy cut from the Regency Park Designer Paper and the strip of patterned paper on the bottom is from the Fancy Flora DSP. The vellum used here comes in a pack of 60 3 3/4″ x 5″ sheets and has 4 different printed designs plus plain sheets.
