Hello! It’s time for another challenge and today it’s a sketch. This is an easy one and I hope that you try it out!
We start with a standard card base and add three diagonal strips. Mine are 3/4″ x 6″ when I start and then are trimmed to fit the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Mango Melody paper that they are adhered to.
The Warm Welcome Bundle was used for the images and die cuts. The kitty was colored just a bit with a Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend Marker to make him look like an orange point Siamese kitty. The cat is popped up with Mini Dimensionals and three Black Matt Dots echo the matting layer under the greeting.
The fun animal print paper is from the Like An Animal Designer Series Paper pack. The Mango Melody layer is embossed with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folder. To finish off, the bouquet of flowers from the Warm Welcome stamp set is stamped on the corner of the envelope and colored with Stampin’ Write Markers. I’ve used the Stampin’ Write Markers here instead of the Stampin’ Blends because they don’t bleed through the paper. This layout could easily be turned to a portrait card instead of landscape. It’s a very versatile layout.
