New Color!

The #DOswts411 Challenge is to use any of the new Stampin’ Up! colors. Of course, I couldn’t pick just one!

If I had to pick a favorite new color, it would have to be Lemon Lolly. The name even makes me smile!

The Night of Flight Hostess set has five moth images. I could have sworn one of them was a Luna Moth but I may try to make a Luna Moth out of one of them yet! For today’s moth, I looked online and found a photo of a Promethea Silkmoth that I used as a guide for coloring.

I’ve named this little guy Yoda, can you see why? I did use a handful of Stampin’ Blend colors on him to try to match the photo.

  • Copper Clay
  • Pecan Pie
  • Wild Wheat
  • Crumb Cake
  • Petal Pink
  • Basic Black

Here are the paper dimensions:

  • Lemon Lolly base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Pecan Pie 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Copper Clay 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • Fresh as a Daisy DSP 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″

The greeting is from the Biggest Wish set and is inked in Copper Clay. The moth is attached with Stampin’ Seal in the center and the wings are popped up with dimensionals. The greeting is die cut with the Tailored Tags dies, has a Lemon Lolly ribbon from the combo pack and is attached with dimensionals. Two glue dots hold down the ends of ribbon. There are also dimensionals between the Pecan Pie and Copper Clay layers.
