Today’s card was created for a challenge put on by Dawn Olchefske for the STARS demonstrator group. These monthly challenges give me great ideas for creating cards and are one of the fun perks of being a demonstrator. Anyone who joins my Hollywood Stamping Chicks group by purchasing a starter kit will also belong to the DOStamper STARS group and can participate in these challenges.

This card features the Color & Contour stamp set and coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies along with the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper.

These flowers from the Color & Contour set are a two step stamps which give an inexact fill in look. I did stamp the fill in stamp a couple of times to get more color on the flowers. The flowers are done in Calypso Coral ink and the stem in Lost Lagoon. A White Bakers’s Twine bow is attached to the stem with a Glue Dot.

There isn’t an exact match die for this greeting so I die cut it twice to fit the greeting. The two corners (top right and bottom left) didn’t meet perfectly but I thought it gave it an eclectic look. The edges were sponged with Calypso Coral ink. The cardstock is Very Vanilla and it is adhered with dimensionals.

The card base and top layer of designer paper are stamped with the splatter stamp from the Color & Contour stamp set with Lost Lagoon and Calypso Coral inks to match the papers. They just looked naked without some stamping. Three Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins add some sparkle and interest to the empty area on the designer series paper.

The inside has another Very Vanilla layer die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. These edges have also been sponged with Calypso Coral and the flower bud from the set is stamped in the corner.
