Swap Card Friday

Today I have two lovely cards using the Countryside Corners Bundle.

The first card is from Brenda Cardinal and I love the creative way that she has used cut portions of the frames to create a geometric shape with an embossed center. The scored lines draw the eye across the card. This is a masterpiece. The flower and greeting are from the Lasting Joy stamp set, a perfect complement to the Countryside Corners Bundle.

Here is a close-up of the card. The embossing folder is also part of the Countryside Inn Suite. I think that the leaf die cut is from the Around the Bend Die set and the flower must be fussy cut but wow, it sure looks die cut.

Colette’s card is a fun fold. It features the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder, the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper, the Lasting Joy stamp set, Timeless Arrangements Die sprig, Petal Park Punch and Petal Park stamps.

Here’s a view of the inside. I love when swap cards are decorated on the inside too! It gives me ideas on how to decorate the inside of cards to carry on the fun.

Here are the paper dimensions if you would like to create this fun fold:

  • Base 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″, 6″, 7 3/8″, 9 1/8″, 10 1/2″
  • DSP strips 2 at 3/8″ x 4″
  • DSP 1 1/2″ x 4″
  • White 2 pieces 1 1/8″ x 4″

I hope that these cards inspire you like they have me!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by at The Roost.
