Hello and Happy New Year! I meant to wish you all a Happy New Year on New Year’s Day but after arriving at our winter home in Florida at 3am I wasn’t in any state to put sentences together. Yesterday was filled with unpacking and shopping so that we had food to eat. Thankfully, my friend Sandy fed us some awesome waffles and bacon to hold us through on New Year’s Day.

Today’s card features the Planted Paradise stamp set from the new January to April Mini Catalog. It was a gift from a demonstrator event that I attend, so if you are a demonstrator, you probably have this set. To be honest, it’s a set that I would have overlooked, but with the ability to use both sided of the stamps to create images or add color to images, it’s really quite versatile.

I happened to have the center die cut from the Fluffiest Friends Dies (can’t ever toss out those scraps!) so I used it to stamp my pot. I was felling in a multi-color mood so chose a bunch of ink colors for the leaves; Mossy Meadow, Shaded Spruce, and Pretty Peacock. Then I added some Cherry Cobbler rings for interest. The flower pot is done in Poppy Parade and the greeting has an outline of Real Red filled in with a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

The greeting is created with the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid (shown here behind the card). The die is inserted in the embossing folder to cut and emboss all at once. By adding ink with a brayer to the embossing folder it’s like stamping, embossing, and cutting all in one.

Did you notice the ‘shinny paper’? It’s from the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper pack and it’s definitely a sweet one!

All ready to work on my new table that my husband made for me. Even my trusty beagle, Max, under the table, lol.
