Creating a Card Front with a Partial Die Cut

Today I have two wedding cards to share with you, both of which use a Partial Die Cutting Technique on the front of the card base.

This first card has the large floral image from the Stippled Roses stamped directly onto the card front with black ink. To cut the bottom edge of the card base to match the image the matching die from the Stippled Roses Dies was used. By sliding the top plate of the Stamp Cut and Emboss Machine off of the area of the die that isn’t to be cut, a partial cut can be achieved. Watch my video to see how to do this.

This second card has the floral image stamped on a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock, die cut and then layered on dimensionals along the die cut border.

Both cards have a piece of designer series paper lining the inside and peeking out under the die cut border.

Paper Dimensions:

  • Basic White Thick Base 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″
  • Designer Paper Liner 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
