This card uses leaves and a label, die cut with the Changing Leaves Dies. They are cut from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. I’d love to make another card with a Crumb Cake base and see what a difference the color combo change would make! Alas, I don’t own the Changing Leaves Dies, but I am wishing that I did! Because I don’t own the set, my greetings come from the Unbounded Love stamp set, which has 25 greetings and can also be purchased as a bundle with a set of label dies.

In this view you can see the ‘tower’ that forms the front of the card. I’ll be sharing dimensions next week, when I share a similar card layout. The large labels (I have no idea what the name of this shape is, lol) come from the Nested Essentials Dies. If you don’t have it, you need it! It has multiple sizes of three different shapes, all stitched on the edges.
Before I leave I have to share photos of what I did yesterday. I was so proud of myself for actually doing something useful.

I wish that I had done a before photo so you could see how hard I worked, lol. Actually, for me the worst thing is crawling around on my knees cutting down the spent flowers. I weeded the flower beds, cut out the spent flowers, and edged the bricks on the sidewalk.

I haven’t edged the sidewalk for several years so I reclaimed about half a brick. As you can see by the broken block on the steps (lower left) we need to redo our front step as well as replace the timbers on the retaining wall. After 30 years even concrete wears out. That project calls for more muscle than I have, so it’s going to have to wait until it bothers my guys. There is a pile of blocks sitting on the patio (for about 2 years) ready to fix the steps.
I hope that you get a chance to be outside enjoying the sunshine! At least here in Minnesota I think we will have a rain free day.
