Today’s card was inspired by this awesome inspiration photo by The Card Concept Challenge. I love the colors! There are so many directions that one could go with this inspiration photo! The giraffe, cupcakes, a gorilla, a snake, bananas, balloons, leaves, oh my! I might have to make another card using this inspiration.

For my card, I decided to focus on the birthday cake and leaves. I started with a Granny Apple Green card base. the two yellow strips on the side are from the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper (think bananas) that was free during Sale-a-bration.

The leaf layer is 3 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and was stamped with the Leaf Collection background stamp. It was first inked with Lemon Lime Twist, then I used a Blending Brush on the stamp, to add Granny Apple Green to the stems and centers of the leaves. It looked okay, I wanted it to look more like a jungle of solid greens and there was too much white showing. So…I used my Blending Brush again and pounced on some Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash in. I added a bit of Garden Green using the same pouncing method along just the edges.

The cake is from the One More Year stamp set and is colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers in Pool Party, Bubble Bath, and Daffodil Delight colors. It’s popped up with dimensionals, as is the greeting.

The greeting is stamped with Garden Green ink onto another piece of the Fruit Salad DSP and punched out with the To The Point Label Punch. A piece of the new (2025-2026 Annual Catalog out May 6) Shaded Spruce & Soft Sea Foam Ribbon is wrapped around the leaf layer. This ribbon is super soft! It has Spruce on one side and Sea Foam on the other and it is part of the Turtle Suite.

The inside greeting is stamped with Granny Apple Green. Both greetings are from the Happiest Day stamp set. Another strip of the Fruit Salad DSP was added to the inside with an angle cut on the bottom.
