Does it feel like the dog days of summer? Are you trying to grab a few more weeks of freedom? When I think of summers as a kid my first thought is no socks and shoes, late bedtimes and running outside with my friends.

This card created with the Notes & Totes Bundle makes me think of those childhood memories. Although we didn’t have any fancy gear like this tote bag, lol. I remember how excited we would be as we got our suits on and threw our towels over our shoulder and packed grandma’s trunk with floats and toys. She had a big old Mercury with a window in the back that rolled down and we thought it was the most awesome thing in the world when she rolled it down for us, lol. Thinking back, I wonder how she felt about us wet sandy kids getting back into her nice clean car.

The front of this Basic White Thick card base has been colored with Blending Brushes to give a bright sunny feel to the beach scene. Some Basic Rhinestones at even more sparkle to the day. All of the elements have been die cut with the Notes & Totes Dies. Some have been cut from the Boho Vibes Designer Paper (perfect for a walk down memory lane).

The ‘sand’ at the bottom is a piece of Crumb Cake paper, stamped with crumb cake pebbles and torn at the top. It started out about 1 1/4″ x 4 1/4″.
