This card really impressed me! All 15 of the cards from the retreat were awesome but this one was over the top.

I’ll have to admit that I cringed a bit to use so much of my Gold Embossing Powder. The tiny little strips of gold seen behind the patterned paper is a SOLID 4 1/4″ square that has been embossed with Gold Embossing Powder!

I decided to make another card with my own twist!

I drew lines on the card cardstock and used a Q-Tip to add VersaMark to only the narrow strips. The lines and words were stamped onto the patterned paper with Crumb Cake ink just like the original card. I’m amazed at how much the Crumb Cake ink looks like gold embossing!

Instead of placing the small flowers in a flip flap, I adhered some right to the card. The white flowers were colored with a Blending Brush and Petal Pink ink. A Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend was used to add the centers.

The flowers on the inside were stamped with Crumb Cake ink, Gold Embossing Powder could be used here too. They were colored with a Blending Brush and Petal Pink ink.
