When I’m making a card I’m usually starting from scratch to design the card with inspiration from another card that I’ve seen, colors that I like, or just a new stamp set that I’ve got in front of me.

But, a week ago, I sat down with a couple of card kits that I received as a prize for completing a challenge that my team leader, Dawn Olchefske, does every month.

It was so relaxing to just open the kits, look at the instructions and create! I even had the stamp sets that were used in the instructions, so I didn’t even have to improvise.

I’m so proud of myself for completing these kits (no mention of the fact that I have 3 others that I haven’t done, lol) that I thought I would share the cards with you today.

This first set uses one of my favorite bundles, Lovely Arrangements. My absolute favorite is the die that cuts the piece used to make the scalloped border.

This simple fun fold starts with a flat 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ base and has a folded 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece centered on the front.

Here you can see the entire die cut that created the border on the first card. I didn’t have the ribbon that was used in the instructions so I did have to do a little thinking for them. This is a white ribbon that I colored with ink using a Blending Brush.

These next card were love themed and used the Endless Love Bundle.

Dawn is always so clever with using punches and die cuts in unique ways. Here the cut out center of one of the heart dies is used and bow is added to the notch at the top.

Although the Endless Love set was Valentine themed this is a perfect wedding card, don’t you think?
