This is the last swap card in my pile. I didn’t participate in the most recent swap that I normally do because I was in transition between Florida and Minnesota and I was pretty sure I would muck it up somehow, lol.

This beautiful card by Carol Johnson showcases one way to use vellum with an embossing folder. This card uses the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder which is retired but the look could be achieved with other folders as well. The Scalloped Wishes die was used to create the frame for the flowers. It was created using the Basic Black Two-Tone paper with the dark side used for the outer frame and the light side in the center.
By placing a same sized piece of Basic Black paper under the Vellum die cut layer it gives the die cut a shadowed look.
Hope this card inspires you to try a new technique with vellum! Hope you have a great weekend. Stop by tomorrow for a DOstamperSTARS blog hop.
