Masculine Graduation Card

Does it seem like making girly cards comes easier than making cards for the guys in your life? Most of my guys aren’t really impressed with my flowery cards, but they do appreciate a handmade card because they know that it was made with love. I like to match the card theme to the person’s interests, so for my one son I use cars, another camping, and my husband gets tractors (sometimes hearts too), but sometimes I need a card for someone that I don’t know very well and then something more generic is better. The Beautiful World and matching Map Dies are perfect for masculine cards.

For this card, I decided to show off the globe stand with a fun fold that puts it top and center. I really like the map inspired World of Good Speciality paper with the foil highlights. The Crumb Cake card base, greeting layer and matte layer create a neutral background for the foiled World of Good paper to really shine.

For the inside of the card, I kept it very simple, with the feather and greeting stamped in Tuxedo Black and no additional embellishment. This card would work equally well for a retiree who has some fun plans.

Paper Dimensions:

Crumb Cake Base: 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4

Tip: When adhering the Matte layer onto the card front, place on top of an envelope to make sure that once everything is glued together, it will fit into the envelope.
