The DOswts366 Sketch Challenge was the inspiration for this card. When looking for a piece of designer paper for the background, I found what I was looking for in a surprising place! This pretty floral paper is from the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper. Not just for Christmas!

The edges of the 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Petal Pink strip have been die cut with the pretty edge die from the Peony Dies. I love the embossing that is added at the same time the die cuts the edges. The die is a border die so I did have to run it thru twice, once for each edge.

The layout has an off center rectangular focal point. Departing from the pictured layout, the Peony is stamped, colored and die cut before being adhered with dimensionals.

The Peony is colored with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends in both the light and dark shades. The leaves are colored with Old Olive, also in light and dark shades.

The Lace Ribbon was adhered to a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of the Christmas DSP with Stampin’ Seal + before being adhered to the card.
