Today’s card is inspired by the #DOswts382 challenge. This layout is a nice way to use designer paper and see more than one design on a single card. I chose the Flowering Fields and You’re A Peach Designer Series Papers for a cheerful spring card.
The greeting is from the Easter Friends stamp set which I ordered because of the sweet animals. I can never pass up a stamp set with cute animals, lol. I also like the hand written look of the font. It’s sort of like my own handwriting only neater.
I first stamped the greeting on white cardstock and then punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch. Then I punch out two more tags one of Calypso Coral and another of Pale Papaya and then layered them behind the white greeting. I love the Brushed Brass Butterflies Embellishments! They are nice and flat for easy mailing! Plus they are shinny! We all love shinny, right?
The challenge didn’t give any dimensions to be used on the card but here is what I ended up using:
- Strip 1 is 1 1/2″ x 5″
- Strip 2 is 1″ x 5″
- Strip 3 is 7/8″ x 5″
- Matte Layer 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Cardbase 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″
