Today is the start of a string of sympathy cards. I recently did a craft show and realized that my stack of sympathy cards was pretty small, so when I needed to send out a few I decided that it was a good time to stock up.
This card uses just the Quiet Reflections stamp set, which is a must have set for sympathy cards. I highly recommend purchasing this one.
The image was inked with two different colors of blue, Orchid Oasis on the top and Night of Navy on the bottom. It was fairly easy to see where the two met on the stamp for inking half way with each. The top greeting is inked with the Orchid Oasis and the bottom greeting with the Night of Navy.
The card base is a top fold, 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ of Thick Very Vanilla. There is a Night of Navy matte that is 4″ x 5 1/4″ with the images on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ layer of regular Very Vanilla. I actually goofed up the greeting on the top so I re-stamped it on a strip of Very Vanilla and popped it up with dimensionals. Always think of mistakes as an opportunity to be creative!
