Hello Stampers,
Today our STARS group are highlighting some of the awesome bundles that are available in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I’ve chosen the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle. Although, being a northern gardener, I don’t get to grow Magnolias, I can still enjoy them in paper form! They are so easy to color with the Stampin’ Blend markers. I like to use the Petal Pink Combo (Light and Dark) to color the flowers. I don’t color in every spot, but just follow the artists lines and add the Dark Petal Pink and then go back with the Light Petal Pink if I think I need to blend in some areas. The leaves are done the Old Olive Combo markers.
I love the matching dies that make quick work of cutting (no fussy cutting here) the flowers. At first I stamped the greeting directly onto the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper but I wasn’t happy with the look, so I restamped it on a piece of Whisper White and cut it out with one of the Stitched Framelits Dies, and adhere that right over my first attempt.
