Blueberries are one of my favorite berries. I grew up in northern Minnesota and berry picking was a family event in my home. I always preferred picking blueberries over raspberries, the raspberries had thorns.

The Berry Best stamp set is a reward set that you can choose with a $100 purchase during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration Event which starts January 5 and goes through the end of February. I can’t believe that the Berry Best Stamp Set comes with a pack of designer series paper as well as the stamp set! Wow! That’s a lot of paper crafting.

I started out with this version of the card, with just one layer of matting behind the image layer, and everything adhered directly to the card base. It was nice but I thought It needed something more. I also realized that my berries were falling off the bushes, lol.

Here is a close-up of the Blueberry Blessings card. I switched the base to Night of Navy and added a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Balmy Blue which has been embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I’ve cut a Night of Navy layer 3″ square and adhered it at an angle. The Just Jade layer is also 3″ square but has been cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die. In order to get a square I have used the die a second time to cut off one end.

The White layer with the blueberries is 2 3/4″ square. The leaves are done with Just Jade ink and the blueberries are Pacific Point. The outline stamps are done with Tuxedo Black. A trio of rhinestones add a little sparkle.

For the inside of the card, I continued stamping more blueberries and leaves, with another greeting stamp from the Berry Blessings set.

The pretty 1 1/2″ x 4″ strip of designer paper along the bottom gives just a glimpse of the gorgeous Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper that comes Free along with the Berry Blessing Stamp Set. Twelve sheets of beautiful paper, 2 each of 6 double sided designs. Plus the Berry Blessing stamp sets which includes 13 stamps. I still can’t believe that you get both items FREE with $100 order.
