Birds & Branches Birthday

Once again I’m typing furiously minutes before the deadline that I’ve known about for weeks. It’s time for another DOStamperSTARS challenge. After I finish up here I’m heading over to a Gender Reveal party for my next grandchild. I have 6 grandSONS now. I’m guessing that this will be another grandson but who knows, I’ll update you tomorrow on the results.

The Birds & Branches set was on my wish list when the big catalog came out last June. With a business name of Robyn’s Roost, you can probably guess that I like birds. I wasn’t able to get the Birds & Branches onto an order until right before I went into Santa’s Elf mode for Christmas cards so this is the first time I was able to put some ink on these stamps.

I had to tweak the layout a bit, but I was determined to use the die for the nest, lol! I’m not sure why but I just really wanted a nest. Maybe because of the upcoming Gender Reveal event? I popped the nest up with dimensional. The nest was a good place to use up my scrap dimensional from the edge of the mini dimensional sheet. I’m a frugal crafter and use everything possible.

If you have time, be sure to check out the other STARS creations. These ladies give me lots of inspiration when I hit crafters block.

The Peony Garden Designer Paper pieces are cut to 3″ x 4 3/4″ and 1″ x 5 1/4″. They are both cut from the same piece of DSP. To keep the card fairly simple, I used only 3 ink colors Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee for the nest and bird and then Tuxedo Black for the birthday greeting. I’ve only used 3 of the 19 stamps that are contained in the Birds & Branches set so I’ve got some stamping to do!

The birthday greeting on the corner is from the Framed For You set from the big catalog. The Framed For You set was designed with input from Million Dollar achiever Terri Gaines.
