Chalkboard Technique with Garden Wishes

Looking for new way to present images on a card? Try the Chalkboard Technique. First heat emboss the images onto black card stock with white embossing powder. New to Heat Embossing? Be sure to watch the Chalkboard Technique Video.

After heat embossing use Stampin’ Up!’s Watercolor Pencils to color the white embossing powder lines. Color all of the leaves with Old Olive. Leave the seeded out dandelions white, but color the others with Daffodil Delight.

This black layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″ layered onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Daffodil Delight and then onto a Basic Black card base that is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.

I love this little bee and his flight path stamp. Although I didn’t use the matching Dandy Wishes die set on this card I did want to mention it. It has a cool die that cuts out a flight path for the bee! I included it in the Product List below as a separate item but if you want to purchase both the Garden Wishes stamp set and Dandy Wishes Dies be sure to order the bundle to get the 10% savings.
