World of Good Thank You Card

When I saw this photo, I immediately thought of the Beautiful World Bundle and World of Good Designer Series Paper. I also toyed with using the black and white dog painting and the Chalkboard Technique, there are rocks, a plant and even a seashell! So many ideas to run with, but I went back to my first thought and pulled out the Beautiful World stamp set and the shinny foiled World of Good paper.

I decided to combine this challenge with a mystery card challenge that my demonstrator group was doing. The little pieces of the World of Good paper are cut 1″ square which worked perfect for some scraps that I was saving. They are layered onto a piece of Cinnamon Cider that is 2 1/4″ x 3 3/8″. The Linen Thread is wrapped around 3 times before tying in a knot.

The greeting is stamped on a 3 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ piece of vellum. I used my Stamparatus and Stazon ink. I like to use my Stamparatus when using the Stazon ink to make sure that I get a nice clean image. To adhere it to the card I used Liquid Multi Purpose Glue mixed with a little water and applied it with a sponge to the entire back side. (Tip: The Silicon Sheet works great to mix the glue on.) That way there aren’t glue spots that show through.

The foiled piece of the World of Good DSP is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and I’ve used the Cinnamon Cider color again for the card base. I thought about adding some rhinestones, but decided that the foil was enough sparkle for this masculine card.

For the inside, I decided to add a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla with 2 strips of the World of Good DSP added to the top and bottom. I used a scrap that was the right length and cut it in half so the pieces are about 3/8″ x 3 1/4″.

This card is done in the Clean & Layered Style, which is what most of my cards are. It has several layers and ribbon. Even though it has a background of designer paper I think it still feels clean and open.

  1. I really like how you used all the different DSP’s for your card Robyn 🙂 Your design is perfect and the colors and DSP are perfect for our challenge. Thank you for playing along at The Card Concepts this week.
