Living in Minnesota, sea shells and ocean style stamps aren’t always first on my list of items that I need, but the Sand & Sea Suite is very special. It has not only coordinating dies, but a coordinating embossing folder that works with the dies and stamps. Plus it has speciality paper and a designer paper pack.
For this card, I used a sponge to color the sea weed with Granny Apple and Soft Sea Foam inks. The shells are stamped with the outline stamps from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set which match up with the die cut. The paper that the shells are cut from is the Basic White because it was my first try and I didn’t want to much up my Pearlescent Speciality Paper which is part of the Sea and Sand Suite.
The order for creating the die cut image is to cut the paper first with the die, stamp the images next and as the last step run it through the embossing folder.
I’ve cut the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper to the full size of the card front, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. This set is so much fun to play with!
This version of the Sea & Sand card uses the Pearlescent Speciality Paper so you can see the difference between the two. It does use different colors of ink on this version and the sea weed is left uncolored.
