Demonstrators who attended the Virtual Convention this year, received the Enjoy the Moment stamp set with our party packet. As a gardener, I enjoyed identifying the seed pods but I really didn’t play with the set for quite a while. When I created a large batch of cards for my virtual catalog tour, I took the stamp set out and enjoyed stamping with it, more than I thought I would. The inspiration for this card came right from page 59 in the Jan to June Mini Catalog.
Although I used this card as my inspiration, you can see how I changed some elements to suit my taste. I love the Stampin’ Catalogs for inspiration. Sometimes I just need an idea to spark some creativity and the Stampin’ Up! catalogs are full of inspiration. Even an old catalog can be used for layouts or design ideas.
The card base is completely covered with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. The white layer is 3″ x 5 1/4″ and is embossed with the Scripted 3D Embossing Folder, then sponged with Sahara Sand ink. The edges are distressed. The seed pods are all colored by pulling the ink from the outlines with Blender Pens and filling in a bit by picking up ink from an ink pad with the blender pen. They are fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals. I don’t have the card with me here on the road but I’ll try to guess at the colors that I used.
- Japanese Lanterns: Cajun Craze, Cinnamon Cider
- Lotus: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight
- Poppy: Soft Suede, Bumblebee
The greeting is a 1″ x 3″ strip of Crumb Cake stamped with Soft Suede and popped up with dimensionals.
To finish the card up, I added 2 of the Champagne Rhinestones. If you would like to recreate this card, the product list is below with links to my store.
